A live performance of Biophile music is like experiencing a spiritual awakening translated into sound and condensed into an evenings worth of music. Each piece represents an element of the heroes journey as we travel from darkness into the light. The performance symbolizes the potential triumphs of consciousness and an opportunity to energetically align with the celebratory nature of life through journeying with the sonic tapestries being offered.



It is often difficult to comprehend that practically everything you hear on the album is a recording of a live performance with no pre-recorded elements until one witnesses it for themselves.* It is compelling to watch as each instrument is played and added to the landscape. And like any evolutionary process, as more elements are combined the result ends up becoming so much more than the sum of its parts.



An evening with Biophile music is also an active participation in helping to heal the radical disenchantment of the world. It is a living prayer dedicated to nurturing the awakening process unfolding upon our planet Earth through all of our hearts and minds. It is also a vibrant concert where the miracles of modern technology are wedded with deep organic sensibilities to create an unforgettable experience grounded in conscious evolution. The result is an evening dedicated to activating our higher selves, of reveling in our unique time together, and of amplifying the possibilities that a purposeful life has to offer. Affirming joy, compassion, and gratitude as the highest ideals of a life lived in love, Biophile music gently entices the listener to listen deeply and experience the energies present within each piece to reawaken and nurture awe, wonder, and connectedness.



During a performance of Biophile Music, there are no pre-recorded sounds, tracks, or pre-prepared sonic elements whatsoever. Everything you hear is played live and utilizes a real time recording technology that layers sound on top of itself called looping. As each instrument, drum, voice, or sound effect is played it gets recorded into a floor pedal that instantly plays back what it hears while continuing to capture whatever else gets sent it’s way. It is this ability that allows a single performer to create lush landscapes that would appear as if an entire ensemble has been at work.



Every performance of Biophile music becomes an instance of subtle activism as the energies present are focused through a lens of our common bonds and then lovingly given to the healing of the world and towards the awakening of our spirits as a gift on behalf of our higher selves. The result is a shared experience of resounding peacefulness and calm amidst the whirlwind of contemporary existence.



Biophile music invites the listener to slow down and inhabit a sense of time that is more attuned to organic life processes wherein we have opportunity to inhabit a more natural and organic state of being. But most of all Biophile music is a celebration of our communion as members of a greater body of life and a prayer of thanksgiving for having the ability to participate in and contribute to the greatest opportunity of all ~ life as an integral community member of planet earth.
